Open Trip October 2024

Are you interested in going on a mission trip with us? Join us this fall in Chiapas, Mexico, as we finish building a church for a local community in need, evangelize in the area surrounding the church, and partner with the pastor to present the Gospel through “The Jesus Film.” From a practical perspective, you will spend the week painting, building benches, mixing concrete, and serving a community in need. You will also visit a local orphanage and spend time loving on the kids. From a personal perspective, you will meet new people, experience a new worldview, gain perspective, and be challenged to step out of your comfort zone. It will be an incredible week of ministry, and we hope you will join us! Here are the details:

 

When: October 13–18, 2024

 

Who: Open to any individual 18 and older. Students 16-17 can participate with a parent.  

 

Cost: $400.00 per person PLUS your airfare.

• The $400 covers lodging, ground transportation, meals, and activities once you arrive in Chiapas, plus basic travel insurance.

• Meals on travel days are the responsibility of the participant. 

• Individuals will book airfare on their own. We have established a flight schedule for the trip, which you can see below. You must book your flights as listed below so we can travel as a group and not create a need for additional airport transfers, etc.

 

Sunday 10/13:

• DFW -> MEX American Airlines 393 10:15 am-12:10 am

• MEX -> TGZ AeroMexico 316 4:20 pm-6:07 pm

Friday 10/18:

• TGZ -> MEX AeroMexico 313 6:02 am-7:55 am

• MEX -> DFW American Airlines 389 11:20 am-3:05 pm

Register: The non-refundable payment of $400 to Ministry Builders secures your spot on the team. Select “Trip Participation Fee” in the dropdown.

Forms: All participants must complete a Participant Form (online) and a Liability Release (pdf download that can be emailed to kpayne@ministrybuilders.org once completed).

Deadline: Registration will stay open until we have a full team of 12 people. Once we reach capacity, registration will close.
